Good Shepherd Clinic is a 100% donor-dependent clinic that operates solely on the generosity of its donors and the consistent work of dedicated volunteers. Donations to support the clinic can take various forms, including financial contributions, bequests, or "in-kind" donations, which consist of essential equipment or supplies that are crucial for our operations.

The clinic welcomes anyone who can volunteer, even for short periods of time. We value all help and appreciate your interest in supporting our mission, as every bit of assistance makes a difference.

volunteer

The Good Shepherd Clinic is consistently on the lookout for qualified professionals, including doctors, dentists, nurses, and various administrative personnel.

We have a critical need at this time for a dentist. If a licensed dentist could work only a few hours each month, it would greatly help our patients. We have two dental operatories with digital x-ray equipment.

Use the contact form below, or alternatively feel free to email the clinic at GoodShepherdClinicDawson@gmail.com with your name, contact info, and type of work you're interested in, or call 706-429-9914. Someone from the clinic will reach out to you.

Barbara Ann “Barb” Watson –  If there were a model for a volunteer…Barbara Watson would be that person. An accountant, she began working in 2017 and helped Good Shepherd Clinic in Dawsonville, GA for over four years. She volunteered multiple days per week at first in our drug assistance program and then as Board Treasurer, as well as assisting the Executive Director compiling grant data. Good Shepherd has not been the same since she and Jim moved to Hayesville, NC. in 2021.

Richard R. “Dick” McNeill – Dick McNeill volunteered with the Good Shepherd Clinic Board of Directors from 2017 to 2021. Although he did not work in the clinic itself, he took our non-profit organization struggling to stay afloat financially and made us viable. With a marketing background from Coca Cola Enterprises, Dick assisted us with two fundraising campaigns and marketing when we did not know where to start. These initiatives resulted in an almost instantaneous turnaround in our finances.
